About Desray Initiative
Who we are
A Christian-based organization located in Chikwawa District, Southern Region of Malawi — the Friends of Nature.
Our Story
Destiny Rays — hope rising like the sun
The name Desray (Destiny Rays) comes from the rays of the rising sun — symbolizing hope, life, and new beginnings for all creation.
Desray Initiative is a Christian organization aiming at promoting soil conservation and sustainable agriculture through the use of compost fertilizers, Good Agricultural Practices, solar energy irrigation systems, and youth empowerment.
The initiative works with the youth and smallholder farmers to improve soil health, agricultural productivity, food security, and climate resilience.
We implement community-based, practical interventions that reduce land degradation while strengthening livelihoods through training, demonstration, and sustainable production systems.

Our Vision
To see healthy soils and resilient communities practicing sustainable agriculture.
Our Mission
To empower individuals and families with skills and opportunities that transform local resources into sustainable financial tools to fight poverty — guided by biblical principles.
Our Goal
