The Challenge
Why we exist
Smallholder farmers in many rural areas of Malawi face critical challenges that threaten their livelihoods and the environment.
- 01Declining soil fertility due to erosion, continuous cultivation, and chemical fertilizer dependency
- 02Increased climate shocks such as droughts and floods
- 03Limited access to affordable soil fertility inputs
- 04Low adoption of Good Agricultural Practices
Expected Results
- Improved soil fertility and reduced land degradation
- Increased adoption of compost fertilizers and GAP
- Improved crop yields and household food security
- Increased tree cover and environmental restoration
- Enhanced farmer resilience to climate change
